چکیده

Human emotions rely upon the ability to correctly attribute beliefs, goals and percepts to other people or social respond. Many of the quests to model human emotions derived from diverse aspects of research themes. Most of the research works related to the work of researchers in artificial intelligence, psychology, cognitive sciences as well as robotics. This research works addresses on faces features through simulation of anthropomorphic agent. A salience feature of this definition of emotion is described in terms of goals and roles. Therefore, it provides a basic framework of goal-driven processing, which is to investigate computational models of emotion. The main goal of this research is to provide a natural interaction scheme where the affective interaction emotive state of the user can be identified. One aspect of developing such a capability is the ability of the system to recognize emotional state using intelligent supervised learning algorithms, personality of the user and respond appropriately. An anthropomorphic agent will serve to express the reaction through affective feedback given. Thus, it will give a new direction of human-computer interaction issues in designing the most suitable interface that can understand our behaviour and respond to it Scope of Presentation: Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Affective Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction.

The Importance of Similarity in Empathic Interaction

Empathy has been defined as, “An observer reacting emotionally because he perceives that another is experiencing or about to experience an emotion” (Stotland, Mathews, Sherman, Hannson, & Richardson, 1978). Synthetic characters (computer generated semi-autonomous agents corporeally embodied using multimedia and/or robotics, see Figure 1) are becoming increasingly widespread as a way to establis...

Design and Evaluation of Sociable Robot Systems

Human-robot interaction is now understood well enough to allow us to build useful systems that can function outside of the laboratory. In my work, I propose the concept of a sociable robot system, which consists of a robot as a user interface to a complex system. There are three parts to this work: the definition of a sociable robot system and the background work that contributes to it (section...

Interaction design patterns for computers in sociable use

This article contributes to a growing body of design patterns in interaction design for cooperative work, while also describing how to go from field studies to design patterns. It focuses sociable face-to-face situations. The patterns are based on field studies and design work in three sociable settings where desirable use qualities were identified and translated into forces in three design pat...

Emotion as an Enabler of Co-operation

Human reasoning and behaviour is undoubtedly influenced by emotions. However, the role of emotion in reasoning has, until recently, been viewed as secondary, with preference given to game theory principles in order to explain how the reasoning of an individual affects sociable interaction and the phenomenon of cooperation. Despite this, development of emotional agent architectures has gained in...
